A summer oil painting in the garden with a woman standing on a stepladder (pruning a honeysuckle). The red oil lamp works but I wouldn't light it there (fire risk!)

This oil on canvas showing the garden at the front of the studio was finished in 2024 and hung in the autumn exhibition of the Cambridge Drawing Society where it found a buyer. I called it "The Stepladder" (size 30" X 34").

Thank you G for pausing your gardening for me to sketch you in. This year (actually painted in 2022) produced an amazing crop of beef tomatoes in the garden, not always possible in our shady garden.

Another fairly recent garden oil on canvas where I managed to maintain a degree of freshness.This was shown and found a buyer at the Cambridge Drawing Society spring exhibition 2023.
