#JimLee made his professional debut on #AlphaFlight #51 (October. 1987), with #WhilcePortacio inking. Reportedly, he so impressed #ArchieGoodwin & #CarlPotts with his samples he got the job, but couldn't get his dream one, #UncannyX-Men, until after a few tryout comics.

Thanks, Dean! It has Don's "Aquaman" issues, but not his "Adeventure" or "World's Finest" Aquaman work. Still, that's a massive collection, around a very tragic tale. Very early #CarlPotts & he was pretty polished. Rubinstein's & then Giordano's inks didn't hurt.

La otra pata del #cómic es el dibujo, que por suerte (otra vez 🍀) para el Multiverso recayó en manos del novato #ArthurAdams (aunque el diseño preliminar corrió a cargo de #CarlPotts a partir de la "biblia" que Nocenti escribió para el proyecto). Del blanco, demasiado obvio, se pasó al negro.
