When Aurelius was 13, he collapsed half-frozen in a medic’s flowerbed in the Shroud.
Casra was 20, a junior Twin Adder medic.
Aurelius stayed a few weeks to recover.
Later, he wandered Eorzea, joining the Arcanists’ Guild at 17.

Casra de Cielvert once treated survival as penance, a debt repaid in bitter silence. When wisps of dynamis began searing at his skin during the Final Days, at the brink of despair, he realised his mindset would kill him.
Now he rebuilds, on purpose.

His ears have long since grown accustomed to the sound of the faucet and the scent of antiseptic wafting through the air.
The wooden chair does not creak as he sits, silenced by his postural restraint.

Aurelius never knew his parents. The librarians who raised him were purged by the Holy See when he was 13. He chose not to harden.
Casra survived Carteneau, obeying orders to abandon the dying. He’s spent years trying to be fast enough to never face that choice again.

He will fix things without being asked. A blanket pulled up, leaving a new batch of something you need. His hand lingers on your pulse for longer than needed.
He teases and jabs.

I'll speak about Casra today, though he's not my WoL.
When Casra was young, growing up in Ishgard... rather than brood on the rooftops, he'd get bored enough to start pelting snowballs at unsuspecting knights.
He once threw a clump of snow at Thordan VII. 🫢
