Armin beta reads her fics for her, she’s definitely really tired of his critiques but learned to tune them out so they don’t bother her as much. Jean makes fun of their interest (Only to Armin because Melia just hides it too well…) but then he proceeds to go home and draw fanart for the fanfics, he’s a secret fan. Melia finds out because they ended up on a group project together and had to share notes and he accidentally left a piece of paper with his doodles inbetween two pages with notes. Not even doodles he’s posted before, she just immediately clocked his art style as “the one” and just handed it back to him with a raised brow being like “Wow. nice drawings. That’s awesome. Had no idea you were also into this.” while he got defensive. As soon as she got home she sent him a “I know who you are.” message (they actually talked a lot online previously) the power got to her head fast. “Lmao wdym” “jean kirschtein.” He panic blocked her for a few minutes (an hour) She acted like her usual self when the school day came around (Meaning: she avoided everyone and kept to herself) until Jean cornered her asking her if she really is “CottonTailBun”, she just kinda snickered and nodded, thanked him for his support, and continued walking away (this time at a faster pace,, to get away before he started throwing a tantrum) This guy had to keep quickening his pace so that he could catch up with her, he also shoved aside his ego to ask (DEMAND) her “hey, don’t tell people I read fanfics.” to which she just shrugged and was like “wasn’t planning on it.” (She was totally gonna tell Armin but decided against it, considering the fact that Armin likely wouldn’t be able to keep his mouth shut and then Jean would come back to her all annoyed that she told Armin of all people. She just wants to stay unbothered, I love her)
