I guess one would have to be of an age to know #Catweazle. He was on UK kids telly in the 70s, a mediaeval peasant who accidentally wound up in the 20th Century. His reaction to the "telling bone" was outstandingly funny.
And IMHO, #NSWpol are just as mediaeval.
