StatsCan: Nearly 3 in 10 homicide victims in 2024 were racialized
Racialized victims accounted for 29% of homicides last year (226 people).
Rate: 1.72 per 100,000, compared with 1.98 for non-racialized victims.
Most affected groups: Black (45%), South Asian (22%), Arab (9%).
