Listening to this very interesting talk with Alana Lentin on her latest book The New Racial Regime: Calibrations of White Supremacy. Great hard facts about colonialisation, the Zionist entity's role for the West, and much more.

For years, I've wanted to post a series about a topic I think is very important:
The Black Radical Tradition.
Initially, I wanted to do this for Black August, but that observance has been pulled too far from its prison abolition origins and I did not want to stretch it further. And if you've been with me for a while yknow why I haven't been able to consistently put out a project.

For this 100th year of Black History being observed and acknowledged (what was once a week is now a month), I wanted to add to Carter G Woodson's intention:

Spreading knowledge of black people's storied history of resistance, be it armed with ideology, weaponry, or communal dynamics. There may be a highlighted group but this series is about the collective radical actions, events, and strategies of the entire Black Diaspora, beyond well known heroes.
In a time of tumult, AI, and psuedo-history running wild, I hope you enjoy taking this trip with me into our shared heritage of resistance.

I'm doing a lil project I've wanted to do for years. I may be behind or late because of health stuff but i'll make it up! And I'll consolidate this each week or in March. HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH

‘This book focuses on figures for whom the intellectual domain itself had to be undone in order to know something about the world around us.’

Wishing I could be at UCSB for the Robinsons' fête. Here's Cedric in maybe '94 at Rethinking Marxism where Roger van Zwanenberg, the editor who 1st published Black Marxism, is trying (unsuccessfully) to sign Cedric's next book. #CedricRobinson

We often use terms w/out really understanding what they mean, where they’ve come from—eg how capitalism is & always has been based on racial hierarchy. Here’s a great précis of #CedricRobinson’s #RacialCapitalism:...
