6 novels. That's actually more than I thought tbh! ๐Ÿคฃ I've even hit my yearly goal (24 books) and raised the bar (to 50 books). Happy that I've maintained reading habit even in a busy month.

This book left me lots of feelings to digest. Nothing wrong with the writing, but the execution in line with the story's themes left me uncomfortable and frustrated...? It's an interesting read that made me yearn for happier solutions, yet sadly the story has a foregone conclusion... #cerureads

I thought it'd be angst/drama, but it turned out to be mystery/thriller/kinda sci-fi? I'm still baffled how this main pair would eventually end up together and I'm intrigued to find out. #cerureads

Though I feel no connection to the culture and history, it was a ride I enjoyed. Beautiful writing. It was apparently a fanfic, but I never felt the gap. It's a solid story. ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Recommended by 3 B&N staffs. It didn't hook me at first read (DNF @ 30%), but I fin'd it on 2nd read. Beginning was a lot to take in. It has Dark Academia genre's poshed writing style, except leaning more to humour. Didn't expect the turn at 50+% but am overall satisfied with the ending.

Meatbun has the tendency to introduce the main pairs by making them seemingly /terrible/ for each other. From YuWu, 2ha and now BAB, my reaction to the first few chapters remains the same: "how the heck are they gonna get together with this set-up?"

Me: I'm gonna stop borrowing books to focus a little more attention on completing my Switch 2 games.

Libby: Screw 2 months! Did I mention that Bing An Ben is ready!? ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

9 novels, 12 manga, 1 graphic novel. Finishing up, catching up and completing series month. Next month's reading may be lesser but I may surprise myself who knows.

I miss Tobias POV, but the writer did make me feel that this was a case that needed current POV to resolve lol. Love the banters and parallels btwn characters, but especially love the ending. #cerureads

I need to reread this again because I borrowed it on my Kindle Paperwhite and could only enjoy the story in black and white ๐Ÿฅฒ But it's a cute story of finding oneself, healing and continuing traditions via adapting to demands of the ever-changing world. #cerureads

Cozy and short read. It was a great palette cleanser, but I also enjoyed Tobias's calming POV and how it balances with both Silver and his mother.

Book 7 of DCC is the culmination of the writer's long game that paid off huge. It made teared just 10% into the book (and in many instances as well). Due to the large scale events of the floor, the characters cannot catch a break... and so can't the reader! ๐Ÿคฃ

Book 6 of DCC is nonsensical and funny, sometimes I wonder if the crawler's concept is but an excuse for the writer to pay homage to all variety of hobbies. I did not expect a TCG arc but I relished in reading it.

Ahh yes, Book 5 of DCC. Other than serving as a support crutch through life's stress and painful-to-read book, it gave its own gut punch. The world gets bigger, but one can also feel that it's setting up for something.

Painful read. Beginning and climax were great, but the rest was a bit of a chore to get through. Still, I like the writer's other series, and reading her old book made me appreciate her growth. Will give 2nd book a chance, but not so soon.

Funny and over-the-top, but not in a bad way to me. It's like reading an Austen book, with ladies indulging in piracy and flying houses. Banters are witty, relationships are silly. I'm not the main target audience for this, but I still look forward to the 2nd book!

The book gives exactly what its title said, but I'm unsure if it's meant to be meaningless or there are meanings I didn't catch coz I didn't read their mentioned books. I disagree that it's a cozy read because their work issues stressed me out ๐Ÿคฃ #cerureads

Mama-in-law is coming tonight. I will either have a lot of time to read or no time at all, and I pray it's the former because this library book has 1 more week to go and 400 pages left to read.

11 novels, 2 mangas. It's a month where one-shots were a mixed bag and series I'd continued reading rekindled my reading interest again.

I was close to DNF coz worldbuilding was heavy and confusing and MC felt Meh in the beginning. Then I reached the part where 2 MCs communicated and changed my mind. I'm glad I didn't, it did get better from there and I'd eventually got use to the style of writing and enjoyed the ride.

I enjoyed this book, surprisingly. I wasn't impressed at first, but after the book established itself in the first conversation between the 2 MCs, something clicked. It became much more enjoyable when I treated it like attending a wedding, getting to know ppl and listening to gossips. #cerureads

This series has me on chokehold but this is the last book I bought before I have to buy more again ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜ญ Gonna buy the remaining books at month's end, but I'm appreciative of how it rekindled my reading drive ๐Ÿ™

(Also this book is epic beyond words!!)

Book 1 and Book 2 are fun. Book 3 is the one that got me into the series despite the confusing (but assuredly okay to not understand) dungeon design. There's a lot more under the surface of humour and jabs, the writer is truly a master in playing the long game and I'm in for the ride!

Love the concept and themes, but did not enjoy the writing and characters. ๐Ÿค” The main android characters felt like humans attached with functions, probably would be better to make 'em humans but I get that it's a plot point shortcut + avoiding potential cultural sensitivies. It was meh.

Me: It's so hard to get into books these days. Maybe I'm burnt out. I'm gonna read this book then take a break.

This book: My dudette, you haven't met me ๐Ÿ˜‰

*finished in a day*

Me: Okay, maybe it's not me, maybe the ones I can't get into just aren't my cup of tea.

Thought I'd feel disconnected as it's been ages since I read the first book, but it's so easy to pick up and makes me crave for more! Was sad a new character wasn't permanent, and it felt like the book is setting up for something big, but it's an overall simple and lighthearted read. #cerureads

Probably would have enjoyed the book more if my previous read wasn't heavy, because it's a lot to take in despite the easy read. Enjoyed the ride, felt meh on charas POV, plot is mostly good but a certain murder mystery solution, despite loving the solution, felt extra. #cerureads

I went in blind and was unbalanced by book's setting and concept, some themes in the build-up hit close to home. Tragedy was well-balanced by inspiration, healing & compassion. I could only bemoan at what-could-have-beens coz the sequel is cancelled, but it's strong standalone. u_u

Vol 7 was when things start bearing fruit, no, bombs would be a more appropriate description. Every revelations were bombs that hurt, tragedy struck twice and it ended with main duo facing an unknown fate.

Do I wanna know what's next? Yes! Does my library have the next vol? No...
