While research certainly helps. A lot of these questions only fade with time and experience. In time I hope to become familiar with Chameleon Geckos the way I have with Solomon Island Leaf Frogs and Rainbow Stag Beetles.

Additionally, when handling these lovely geckos. I've felt the tail grip my hand even when it was laying flat. Which suggests that the tail does not need to fully wrap around an object to provide support.
