My 3 three layer #chantillycake turned into an amazing #trifle (lessons were learned 😂)

Adulthood is buying an entire Chantilly cake just because you can. 🎂 #chantillycake

A naked-style frosted cake, whole, on a cake plate on top of a black cast iron gas stove top (currently turned off and cool) against a white backsplash. The cake is decorated with sliced mango and strawberry in a humble but aesthetic way. The sponge is white cake with lots of vanilla and a pinch of cloves, the frosting is stabilized whipped cream with some vanilla powder added for sweetness and flavour.

Baked my #mom a #mangostrawberry #chantillycake #knockoff (since she can’t abide #buttercreamfrosting and I’m not brave enough to attempt an #eggwhitesponge the first time for her #66thbirthday party).
