Having just that one decision made for me makes the rest much easier.

The problem with #CharacterNames: It's unique enough to be memorable, but not so weird that it's unpronounceable to #readers. Scour the web for hours or making something up that sounds believable as a name, and not that you sneezed while typing and didn't bother to fix the typo.

In the first draft (Aug/Sept 2020), I had Laura, Rita, and the Hurricanes biker gang. In revisions, the rest of the #CharacterNames all changed names to those of an Atlantic hurricane. It remembers Laura that hit Louisiana 8/27/20.

What's your favorite character name of all time?

I made up "Isaac Asimov Newton" for my new Utopian Sci-Fi. I thought it'd be fun! Isaac is boisterous, entertaining, generally caring, and definitely fitting of the name.
