My first "MOF" paper is from my DEA work with the late Gérard Férey, who seem to have passed away too early for the #chemistrynobel
MIL-2 and MIL-3, some of the first MILs (Materials of Institut Lavoisier). Not sure MIL-1 was ever actually published.

Here's my first MOF paper.💎
It was the first example of using a the premade Zr6 cluster, and we made fcu-MOFs (UiO-66 like) at room temperature.
I never stopped being amazed by #MOFs architecture since then and I definitely make nicer pictures too.

The laureates Susumu Kitagawa, Richard Robson, and Omar M. Yaghi created molecular constructions with large spaces through which gases and other chemicals can flow. These constructions, metal-organic frameworks, can be used to harvest water from desert air, capture carbon dioxide, store toxic gases, or catalyse chemical reactions.
