So how does it work?
We start with a modified version of the #Cinny #Matrix client, but we do some cool hacks so that we don't have to modify it too much.
We use a Service Worker that implements enough of the Matrix API to get Cinny to display our chat messages from our own data store.
- Custom emojis are poorly supported (only #Cinny allows you to create packs, Element doesn't, and it also doesn't display emojis, just stickers with white background despite them being transparent .png)
