Panel 1-2: "But, honestly, Lana... There hasn't even been a small Saurian seen in years." Feyn walks up the hill to meet her, his face looking annoyed by still cocky. Panel 3: "... Feyn... they're here..." Nalana looks back and says quietly as some wolves approach in the background behind her. Panel 4-5: Feyn keeps talking over her, "Besides, what's Krya gonna do to punish us, anyway? Sentries are already the lowest, most disrespected and underappreciated in the Pack. Not like we chose this job. I should have been a Hunter, I could outpace and of those overgrown dogs!" "Uh... Feyn..." Nalana tries again to get his attention as the wolves get closer still. "They may have size, but haulin' around all that bulk must make them tired. Too bad their brains don't watch!"
Panel 1: "What's so damn special about Hunters anyway? They are practically given their positions, and based on what? Their huge asses?" Feyn continues his insulting monologue, it is clear he can't see the wolves over the hill. We see the first glimpse of the scars on his leg. Panel 2-3: "Tch, even with my busted leg, I would be faster and smarter on..." he finally makes it to the top of the hill and sees the wolves, "Hunter's trek..." he finishes. Panel 4: "Well shit..." Feyn droops his ears with an annoyed look. Panel 5: The wolves stare at him, it is clear they heard the whole thing. Nalana smiles awkwardly as they are both caught. Panel 6: A zoom in of the face of a scarred white wolf, Krya, as she raises an eyebrow at Feyn.
The grotto from the cover page, but this time there are coyotes posted on the lower rocks and a wolf above near a cave. Krya leads Feyn toward an upward slope.
Panel 1-2: "Wait here for the Commanders." Krya leaves Feyn as she walks up the slope. The other coyotes watch her. Feyn looks annoyed. Panel 3: "Aye! There he is! Runnin' yer mouth again, Feyn the Pain?" a grey coyote looks excited and antagonistic as he catches Feyn's attention. Panel 4: "Mind your own business, Livek." Feyn turns away and sticks his nose in the air. Panel 5: Livek looks pleased that he is bothering Feyn, "Heh... so..." Panel 6-7: "What were you doing this time? Epic battle with another Allosaur? Getting your ass kicked by a gazelle? Oh... Or, maybe you were playing Great Race again?" he walks toward and around Feyn, "Come to think of it, the Race is comin' up, isn't it? You think you'll get picked?" Feyn looks annoyed as he watches Livek.
