I finished my second turtle for the silk/polwarth embroidery thread so those are ready to ply. I started some eri silk.

Packing up today’s #commutespin and it looked so interesting, I had to grab a picture. It’s almost completely unrecognizable all wrapped up.

Today’s #commutespin is back to cotton because I can do it in my lap and didn’t have room to do the drop spindle. And yes, I have both spindles in my commuting bag at all times.

Throwback #commutespin! This was my first commute spin more than 5 years ago. It was also my first Turkish spindle which, sadly, was lost to parenthood. I can’t wait for it to be warm enough to sit outside again 😂

I did it! I pulled the cop off yesterday and started again. I’m wrapping with more intention than I have in the past, so it even has that nice Turkish spindle wrapping pattern.

I think this #commutespin is about as full as it can possibly be. Time to swap out to an empty spindle. Once I have a second cop built up, I’ll ply this into embroidery thread (for a different project!)
