Post: Malcolm X had very complex thoughts, sometimes conflicting thoughts about America. Contrary to what has been said about him, he did not hate America. He hated how America treated black people. It's two separate things. Toward the end of his life, he said something that was quite reveal feeling something that was quite telling, he said, Sometimes I dare to dream, and I'm paraphrasing that it will be said of me that my voice pushed America from it's arrogance, from his smugness and saved it from making fatal mistakes, even catastrophic mistakes that can cause the very destruction of the nation. In other words, what he was saying is in hindsight. On second look up America was. See me in. Regard me as one who was trying to save the United States of America, as opposed to destroy. Sometimes when you're trying to save people and you're trying to help people, you have to say things that are harsh things that people don't want to hear. Malcolm said. When it's all said and done, I hope that America will give my words a second listening and determine that In fact, I was that caught again. I think he was.
