Three lengths of steel wire sit on my workbench, each bent into a simple curlicue. They've been placed so that together they form a pleasing shape, and joined together with copper wire wrapped around them. The spaces between the wires have been filled with old beat-up washers and purple beads, all held in place with more copper wire.
The finished piece! I learned a LOT doing this one. It'll make its debut at Narrow Gauge Books in Alamosa next month. Be there or be ... somewhere there's actually civilization, idk, we're in the absolute sticks here.

A line of old beat-up washers runs up the left side; some of those have also been joined with copper wire. Other washers are scattered around, along with purple beads and a few jewelry tools.
Got it all framed out, & I'm messing with the washers. I haven't done much with washers before, so figuring that out is sometimes frustrating, but it's fun, too. It's coming along nicely.
