There is a hidden screw between the bottom and shaft of the staff to keep it stable, and purposely made sure it broke down in order to travel.

Two embroidered chibi designs of Hypnos from Hades 2. The design is just his head, looking a little sleepy, with his hair flowing to the right. He has a sleep mask with eyes on it over the top of his hair above his forehead. The one on the left is the more recent design and has more grey tones throughout with gold on the wings. The one on the right has more green tones through the hair and the wings are bronze instead of gold. The one on the right has also been cut away from the backing fabric whilst the left is still fully attached to the red shiny fabric it was embroidered onto (and it will be staying there, the one on the right will be repurposed as a patch to apply to something for fun)

More progress! Testing the embroidery files and they really do take forever. The one on the right I used the colours that the machine told me to, but for the one on the left I picked some of them myself to be a better match to my art.

Just...a lot more to go!

An eye mask made from pale purple fabric, with an embroidered design that looks like gold eyes with red centres. There is also black thread for the outlining, and red ribbon as the attachment on each side. The background is a table with a yellow mat and some scissors.

The eye mask placed askew on a styled white wig, which is on a polystyrene head stand on a slightly messy table because I still had things out on there like drinks, supplies, and shopping in the background.

Finished 40 hours of styling on the wig, and probably another 5 hours on the eye mask (including making a test piece to check the design and sizing, which I may keep as a spare for people to use for photos at MCM?...)

here she is so far btw! i will be redoing the sleeves entirely since my initial plan for the cuff armor isn't working out as i intended but that's ok! she's also missing some back details that i'll work on on next week but i'm happy with how she looks so far :) #notgodzillawip #cosplaywip

finally figured out how to paint these! i used maker pro paint in black mixed with flex additive as a base coat then used my go to silver floral spray paint to match the other armor pieces. going to weather these then rig them to the belt and they're done! #notgodzillawip #cosplaywip

A narrow photo of a long wavy white wig on the edge of a table. The top parts are still pinned up with black clips, and all through the wig the hair has been made into paper thin sections of 1-2cm wide that have been styled into waves.

More progress on the #Hypnos cosplay - this is around 30 hours of work on the wig, as I've been taking each tiny section and coating it in glue stick on both sides, making sure it's smooth, then pressing in each wave of the curls one by one with a straightener.
