The 1944 deportation of #CrimeanTatars from #Crimea is a dark chapter in #Ukraine ’s history. At least 200,000 were deported, and over 46% died in exile. Crimea was left orphaned under #Russian imperial violence and colonial policies targeting its Indigenous people and culture.
