front view references for fallon fflannidan and ortrun vogel, characters from my comic dark grows the sun. fallon, shown on the left, is a young, pale skinned, blonde half elf with green eyes. He is extremely tall and broad. he is bloodied and bruised, and wearing green boxers with a black and white striped scarf tied around his waist. his brown boots are ankle high and his socks are rolled down over the very tops of them. his fists are bare and his hair is tied back but falling free from its ponytail. his expression is mildly perturbed and he is rubbing his right shoulder. his garb was pretty standard wear for bare fist boxing in the turn of the century.
on the right is ortrun, who is a pale skinned full elven man that appears to be the equivalent of middle aged. his hair is a less saturated, lighter blonde, and his eyes are purple. he is covered from the neck down in a black shirt with black ascot tie, desaturated navy vest, and darker, slim navy pants, with fine dark shoes. he is wearing black leather gloves. above this all he is wearing a navy inverness cape with red lining. unfortunately i forgot to depict his arms coming from the proper holes so it is fully draping over them rather than just the outer capelet being over them and the rest of the cape underneath, but that will be fixed. he holds a cane in his left hand and a calling card up near his face in his right. his expression is slightly smug and punchable. my handwritten notes read:

3/4 frontal reference for finn fflannidan from my comic dark grows the sun. Finn is a pale, young adult half elf with dark blonde hair and grey eyes. He is trans. His hair is very long and wavy, and in this reference it is depicted frizzy and in a low ponytail. he is hiding his face in his hair. He is wearing a cream colored turtleneck sweater, an oversized beige sweater with red accents around the neck and arm holes as well as the bottom hem, green pants cropped just below the knee, and brown leather boots with the tops folded down and the laces wrapped around them to keep them in place. he is wearing black socks with sock garters and he is holding a book to his chest. his expression is apprehensive and his pose reflects his insecurity and need to hide.

frontal 3/4 reference of amaretto eun from my comic dark grows the sun. amaretto is the equivalent of middle aged and is a trans infernal woman with red skin, golden eyes, and slightly wavy rose pink hair in an updo with bangs. amaretto is fairly short. she has horns that come straight out of the crown of her head with only a slight backwards curve and a slender tail with a spade shaped end. her fingernails are manicured and she holds a long cigarette holder. she has an easy, confident smile on her face and her pose exudes this as well. her clothes are finer than any of the others in this post, sporting a white evening gown with a black lace overlay. the lace features roses and briars that stretch up the length of it, and is adorned by sequins. there are white roses on her chest and hin her hair, and she wears a diamond collar with a ruby in the center. diamond chains that match the collar wrap around her horns and fall past her ears to a clasp that keeps her hairdo up. the dress is in edwardian inspired style, with a black silk sash that wraps around her cinched waist and ends in pretty sequins.
for added context: infernals could be compared to tieflings but are a unique race in the universe of the comic. tieflings don’t exist.
amaretto is married but i forgot to draw the ring on her finger. eun is her last name and her husband livius took it rather than her taking his. she holds more power in their relationship and he is happy with this arrangement.

frontal reference for cesare ostroth from my comic dark grows the sun, with smaller detail drawings surrounding him. cesare is a young adult infernal man with light green skin, saturated blonde chin length hair, and amber colored eyes with white sclera and slit pupils. his ears are long and rounded and point downward, shaped similarly to those of a cow or a sheep, and his tail has long hair at the end that matches the hair on his head. he is the tallest character depicted and rather broad as well. he wears a black long sleeved shirt with patches on the elbows and black pants that are held up with black suspenders. the legs of his pants are a bit too long. i may make them frumpier in the future. his shoes are black leather and scuffed. in his hand he holds a grease pencil. a thin chain necklace hangs off his neck and disappears into his neckline. he’s wearing a small smile.
