There are still some work to do to improve things for Deaf teachers & future Deaf teaching students. Hopefully, this will help others to understand what it’s like to be a Deaf teacher.

My class is a great bunch of kids and I’ve had some interesting conversations so far. One kid even asked if I was 85! I know I have grey hair but c’mon! 😂 the next 5 weeks will be interesting with this class 🤔

Visited the @edinburghcastle today with my PGDE cohort as part of Critical Pedagogy field trip lesson. It was fun to experience it and getting to see my ‘ancestral’ home (I can always dream!)

It was really fun and shows how creative primary science can be! I definitely want to try this at some point in the future.

My placement class gave me a leaving gift and card as it was my last day with my mentor teacher, even though tomorrow is my official last day of the placement. 🥹

Then in the afternoon, we learned about how we can repurpose things, e.g. an old t-shirt. My group made some sort of dog toys out of strips of old t-shirts & I’ve been instructed by my colleagues to test them out on my dog this weekend, so keep an eye out for my report… 😝
