Image 1 (Left panel: "Without Apology..." tribute):
A digital memorial pamphlet featuring three sections. The left panel displays a close-up photo of a black widow spider and reads:
“Rocky—Mother, Daughter, Sister, Auntie. You didn’t beg for acceptance — you lived your truth… And your light? It’s still shining.”
The center panel, titled Without Apology…, contains a heartfelt tribute describing Rocky as bold, loud, loyal, queer, and unapologetic. It emphasizes that she never lived for approval, but for love and authenticity.
The right panel shows a photograph of Rocky Montes Morales, a woman with long dark hair and glasses, standing confidently in a white turtleneck. Below the image, the text reads:
In Loving Memory — Rocky Montes Morales, 23.05.1959 – 18.05.2025.
Image 2 (Right panel: “Her Journey / Rocky Wisdom / Aunt Rocky Was…”):
A continuation of the memorial pamphlet with three columns.
The first column, Her Journey, poetically outlines Rocky’s return to the Creator and reunion with loved ones who passed before her. It describes her as a burning light, a storm, and a shield who held space for the marginalized.
The middle column, Rocky Wisdom, includes some of Rocky’s sayings and quotes: “Coffee is for sippin’. Whiskey is for chuggin’.” and “Say what you mean. Even if they’re gonna hate you for it.”
The third column, Aunt Rocky Was…, pays tribute to her as a fierce, loving protector of queer kids and outcasts. It emphasizes her strength, defiance of social norms, and unwavering love — even when it wasn’t returned. It closes with: “She deserved to feel safe, celebrated, and held.”
I made this for my aunt to have something for whoever shows up tomorrow. It grosses me out how nice/thankful most of these things are and so I had to make my own. Most people who show up are just showing face. so meh. #WitchLife #DeathComesForUsALL
