The Deathrec - Protector Animarum 🌌🦴 October has begun, and with it I'm opening the gates to my very own species: the Deathrec. They are feline, undead guardians of restless souls - seen only at cemeteries and gravesites, especially on full moons or when the veil to the beyond is thinnest, like on Halloween. 🕯️ Their nature: Made of soul, bones, and a thin coat of fur, they hover (not fly) about one meter above ground. To humans, they appear terrifying - resting on gravestones with hollow eyes or glowing sockets, claws sharper than blades, and the jaw strength of a big cat. Those who disturb sacred ground risk facing them. 🌑 Their duty: They protect lost spirits and guide them into eternal peace. Revered by shamans, feared by some Christians as demonic figures, Deathrecs embody both horror and nobility. 👁️ Appearance: Some have glowing red-black eyes with clear night vision, others glow from empty sockets, able to see in infrared. Their ribs often lie exposed as a symbol of their timeless, organless existence. Their age is told by the length of their horns. ✨ Important: The species is only open in October. For the rest of the year, Deathrecs remain closed until the next October. If you want your own Deathrec, reply to this post or message me directly.
