The moment the sun rose enough to reflect in the water, and leave a rosy hue. Early morning at a large pond.
Barely sunrise, with everything except the risen sun still in the shadows.
Sunlight hitting the trees along the banks of the pond. The osprey nest (on the pole, upper right) had one very vocal chick, calling for breakfast. No adult in sight. This pair normally raises 3 healthy fledglings, but this year I've only seen one at a time, and rarely see an adult at the nest, though I saw one flying in a few days ago. It's making me wonder if one was injured, or killed, so the other is doing all the hunting and feeding. I hope not, but generally I see both adults at the nest during the season.
The bright ball of sun, just rising above the trees and bushes and lighting up the foreground.
Morning walk. I went out very early this morning, and was rewarded by a lovely sunrise with rosy hues, shadows, and lots of sunlight. Only one lone runner on the trail. Peaceful! #DeltaPondsEugene
