#derbydracula and #draculasociety people. Official technical question time for high-class academia. Are vampires OFFICIALLY, TECHNICALLY dead? Is the undead a state of reanimation from the dead, or were they always held BETWEEN life and death, having never technically died to begin with?
I'll be chairing this next instalment of Dracula Lunchtime Bites - they're all online talks, free to attend, just 30 mins long (UK time)! Sign up for a free ticket www.ticketsource.co.uk/draculalunchtimebites #dracula #derbydracula
It's official! Chuffed to be a member of The Dracula Society and that Julia Kruk was so kind to give me the badge off her own shirt at #derbydracula! They are super lovely, enthusiastic folks! <3
There are WAY too many great photos of last week's #derbydracula conference to share here so here's a few of me co-ordinating the conference, giving a paper, judging a vampire poetry slam and playing a gig! Thanks to all our beautiful delegates, there are pics of you all on Facebook x

Final day of #DerbyDracula conference, with a screening of Dracula: Pages from a Virgin's Diary and closing remarks.
🐭🦇 The Dracula Mice of Derby 🐭🦇
In 1924, the first-ever stage adaptation of Dracula was performed in Derby — complete with live mice. Now they’re back in sticker form on Sadler Gate.
Each Dracula and Mina Mouse is styled to match the shop window they haunt.

#derbydracula day 2 (part 1). More awesome papers, stylish threads, a ye olde printing press, and spooky audio installation today!
Welcomed international #derbydracula delegates, spoke on BBC Radio Derby, had: first keynote/panel, drag queen-led tour, toast with ancestor of first actor to ever portray Dracula onstage 101 years ago, hosted pub quiz chucked together after only having the idea last night. Normal conference stuff.
#derbydracula A wonderful opening about The Dracula Society by Julia Kruk
Dracula Returns to Derby 🧛♂️
I visited the excellent new exhibition at Pickford's House today ahead of the Dracula Returns conference.
There's an original Christopher Lee cape, Edward Gorey's completed theatre, and a lot more gothic goodies... 🦇

If you're at #DerbyDracula conference next week, check out Pickford's House @derbymuseums.bsky.social which has fangtastic items from Dacre Stoker, the iconic cape worn by Christopher Lee as Dracula in the Hammer films, and amazing sculptures by local artist Liam Brandon Murray. I loved it!
Can't wait to welcome all our lovely international delegates to the Dracula Returns to Derby next week at the gorgeous Museum of making - we'll have excellent goody bags for you all! #derbydracula #dracula @derbydracula
Also a reminder that the #derbydracula four-day conference starts two weeks today, with lots of vampire-related talks, events, and other bits of madness. I might also be presenting a paper there, but that has, of course, nothing to do with this promotion. Nothing at all.
