It was one of the last beautiful autumn days and the light was marvellous until sunset. Here you can see the ruins of Falkenstein Castle from Höllenstein. The sun was just far enough away from the shot that you could see the ruins.

The area around the Falkenstein castle ruin is great for hiking. This is the view to the north from the Weinviertel, more precisely in the direction of Laa an der Thaya, seen from the Höllenstein. I was told that the rock formations there used to be the coast of the primeval sea in prehistoric times. This also explains why it looks like the cliffs of Istria up there.
