An addendum - I always introduce safety tools in con games, but for DIE in particular this is really damn important. After I'd explained the warnings, one player left. I have so, so much respect for this person. It's not a game you should play with strangers if you're not comfortable #DIEttrpg (6/6)
Having been spoilt by playing it first with @kierongillen.bsky.social himself, I was worried the magic wouldn't be there next time I played #DIEttrpg without him. And whilst one of my fellow playtesters, @ava.foxfort.net was there, I thing the magic was too. (5/6)
Another thing I found fascinating about running a #DIEttrpg at a convention as a oneshot, was a concern I had about introducing players to their character sheets in character. But actually seeing my players learn the mechanics of their classes as they played was, again, a huge part of the game (4/6)
But having now played it and run it, it's incredible how clearly the setup questions allow you, the GM, recognise which class will best suit each persona. Creating the personas is a much bigger part of the game than I realised when I was on the player side. #DIEttrpg (3/6)
One thing I'd found hard to understand abstractly - there's a lot of questions to set up your personas. Because the first few times I've wanted to run #DIEttrpg has been for a oneshot, I've been anxious about how time consuming that would be. (2/6)

At the start of this year I started running a game of #DIETTRPG. Love the game for the low prep required to get going, but built a proper dungeon for my session tonight and I’m so excited to see how it plays out!
