A balding, well dressed, older man sits in the dark beside a dying candle on a dresser. Around him are scattered books, scrolls, and papers. He looks at his hands and trembles while a magic seal on his face softly glows.
This was a heart wrenching moment when one of our DND campaign’s characters lost their ability to cast magic to save the rest of us. The night it happened, he spent the whole night trying to revive his sense and cast again to no avail.
