You may or may not have noticed (or maybe you just thought I hated documentaries or something), but I don't really review these, bc usually my critiques start from the standpoint of the person who was sitting at a laptop screen with Final Draft open, and what they could possibly have been thinking, and that doesn't really apply to documentaries in the same way, where the story is kind of found in the editing. I do enjoy a good doc, and I'm hearing great things about this one. I'm about 2 minutes in, and probably won't live-tweet it for the reasons I've already elucidated.
This guy immediately charms me. I'm curious about this story, and I think, based on my impression of the first 120 seconds, everyone should probably give this a look. His name is Pasha Talankin, and he is a primary school videographer when this story starts.
I'm catching up on this Oscar-winning #documentary #film Mr. Nobody Against Putin.
I don't typically cover #documentaries, bc I tend to critique story in a way that doesn't really apply here, but I wanted to virtue-signal that I am watching it 😅
