Graphite sketch after Van Gogh digger in potato field

For #drawasyoumay the May 19th prompt was “ DRAW A FAMOUS PAINTING IN 30MINUTES”. It’s not a painting, but I really like Van Gogh’s sketches and I chose his “Digger in a Potato Field” with just graphite (I think Van Gogh did his in conte or chalk).

May 14th for #drawasyoumay was a famous landmark. I picked the “Godzilla head” in Tokyo. I used fountain pen inks Papier Plume Honey Island Swamp Monster, Scribo Blu Cosmico, and Walnut ink plus white acrylic ink. It’s one of the places I would like to see.

This was from the #drawasyoumay prompt on Friday “zoo scene”. I used a photo of a partially hidden red panda that we saw last year at the San Diego Zoo for reference. Inks were the Scribo Rosa Antico, Seppia, and Verde Bosco from the April Inkflight box; and Tom’s Studio black 60 for lining.

May 7th’s prompt for #drawasyoumay was “a house exterior”. I have drawn this before, although I don’t remember if I posted the first drawing before. This is the Top Gun house in Carlsbad, CA. I don’t care for the movie but the house was so cute and they had pie…so I went in.

#drawasyoumay The prompt for May 5th was “flower arrangements”. This is a mixed media sketch of a sunflower bouquet. This was mostly done using Carandache Neocolor Aquarelle crayons, with additions of fountain pen ink and white acrylic marker.
