The fullest rest stop I have ever seen, between DC & Richmond VA. There was a line-up all the way up the off-ramp of cars waiting for spots. Wowza. Clear skies today, LOADS of traffic, but a good drive. Happily ensconced in Raleigh NC for the next week!

But it dried up enough to let me see the Appalachian mountains I was driving up and over and tunneling down through before the darkness fell and I arrived safely in Maryland.
