Yesterday in the street market area of f the Pijp district of Amsterdam I came across up to 7 grey herons scavenging fish off cuts from the fish merchants rubbish pile prior to the boxes being collected by refuse collectors. Never seen this behaviour before have others ? #birds #dutchbirding
