After cycling 2200 km for #AlterCOP in BrisVegas, I just got my first flat tyre on the backroads in Wiradjuri Country about 50 km north of Dubbo.

Getting a puncture long distance cycling is a bit like doing your tax return. It’s not bad as you think it’ll be.

900km from Brissy with another 540km to go.

Moving from Kamilaroi and onto Wiradjuri Country.

Feels like I’m getting closer to home.

I was tempted to load my e-bike into this Suzuki Mighty Boy in Goondiwindi Qld and drive all the way back to Canberra. But I just took it for a short spin instead, and then hit the Newell Highway on my bike.

Hope Is a Verb: My Take Home from AlterCOP 30 Speaking at AlterCOP 30 Australia was a real privilege. Walking my bike into a space filled with people who had chosen to spend three days thinking, feeling and acting for the climate reminded me that...

Honoured to guest speak at #AlterCOP30 Australia.

These people aren’t passive spectators. They’re organisers, volunteers, and community leaders living active hope in the climate crisis.

My reflection.👇🏽

“No rest for the wicked” - 1390 km on the #eBike4Australia ride… and still no rest for me!

Kim and Luke took me on a Brissy locals ride ahead of my AlterCOP 30 speech tomorrow.

Climate action doesn’t stop at the finish line - it starts in our communities.

If Parliament Lived Like Farmers Do, Net Zero Would Be a No-Brainer On the back roads between Lismore and Mullumbimby during my #eBike4Australia trip to Brisbane, I stopped beside a farm with a bright yellow sign that said everything Australia needs to hear right now:...

Paddocks speak louder than policy.

While the Liberal Patry ditches Net Zero, farmers across the country know their future depends on it.

Too bad the Las Vegas Motel in Tweed Heads didn’t have any vacancies.

Anyway Surfers Paradise isn’t really my thing so I’m pushing onto Brisvegas tonight!

Saw these gorgeous dairy cows in the Lismore fog this morning.

I love cheese. My cardiologist and the climate both tell me to eat less of it.

But climate action doesn’t have to be all-or-nothing - eat half as much cheese, cut your emissions from cheese in half. #eBike4Australia

Got waylaid yesterday on Bundjalung Country by heavy rain.

But am back on the road and am aiming to hit BrisVegas tonight.

A day earlier than planned.

Can’t wait to speak and engage at #AlterCOP30 Australia on Monday.

Where Your Blueberries Really Come From Spoiler alert, it's not from the pretty pictures on the punnet. It's from places like this on Gumbaynggirr Country in the Clarence Valley: a huge old gumtree cut off at the base, one of many sacrifed ...

Next time you pick up a punnet of blueberries, remember: the food chain ends behind the scenes, not just at checkout.

I’ve already smashed out 150km from Newcastle to Forster today and have another 40km to get to Taree where I’m sleeping tonight.

Sore knees. But worth it with scenery like this for 50km through Myall Lakes National Park.

What’s Really Choking Prime Farmland? Hint: It’s Not Wind Farms As I cycled across Ngunnawal and Gundungurra Country today from Canberra, to Goulburn and into the NSW Southern Highlands, I couldn't help noticing massive blackberry thickets smothering good Country ...

If politicians like ⁦‪Barnaby Joyce‬⁩ and Matt Canavan‬⁩ really cared about farmers, they’d fight invasive species. Not renewables.

Blackberries affect 75 times more land than we’d need for a 100% renewable grid.👇🏽

NSW Southern Highlands today.

I’ve cycled through thousands of hectares of canola, wheat, cattle and sheep. Not the wall-to-wall wind and solar that Barnaby Joyce, Angus Taylor and Matt Canavan carry on about.

This is the real regional Australia.
