This photograph was made at Bromley Rock Provincial Park, British Columbia, Canada near the town of Princeton in 2013. The picture is a close-up of tree roots beside the Similkameen River. Chloé Cooper Jones was a Pulitzer Prize finalist, philosophy professor, Whiting Creative Nonfiction Grant recipient—a groundbreaking memoir about disability, motherhood, and a journey to far-flung places in search of a new way of seeing and being seen.
