Just finished up #Nosferatu and it was simultaneously really good and somewhat disappointing. It was just a retelling of the original story, and nothing more. No interpretation or POV. But it was done incredibly well. But some of the acting was a little… not good. Not #Eggars’ best, but still good
Loved #thenorthman & obvi I’d fn kill to see #Eggars attack #TheOdyssey with his rigorous process. Or #Gilgamesh. These foundational stories are in Eggars’ wheelhouse & we know how he would do them (*brilliantly*). How #Nolan goes about it is more mysterious to me—really looking forward to it.
Nosferatu is getting a proper big-time treatment in 2024. If you are going to make a period-piece horror film, there is no better person to put in charge than Robert Eggars. The trailer has just dropped, and the film will be released Christmas 2024. It looks AMAZING. #Eggars #Nosferatu #HorrorFamily
