#EHF2025 continues with a session on internal displacement in Ecuador.
Euclides Carrillo Lasso, Executive Secretary of Caritas Ecuador, highlighted the country’s forgotten crisis and the vital role of local organisations in supporting victims of violence, organised crime & forced displacement.
The #EHF2025 is always a key event – doubly so this year due to recent aid funding cuts.
As @UNICEFchief stressed, we must work together as a sector and with partners to do all we can to protect children in emergencies - for their rights and for future security and stability.
Our SG wraps up two impactful days at #EHF2025. The forum took place at a critical time, as humanitarian funding declines while crises continue to multiply.
Despite these challenges, we remain on the ground — and our commitment endures.

Today at the #EHF2025, our SG spoke about the catastrophic situation in Sudan. Violence and famine are expanding – the crisis is spilling over and destabilizing fragile neighbouring countries.
A coordinated, robust, and principled response is urgently needed.
