It remains to this day in the Archives at Sri Ramanasramam, Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, India.

In 1924, Swiss sailor Ella Maillart was the first woman to helm a boat in the Olympic Games. She competed in the monotype competition where she was the only female competitor and finished ninth out of 17. Until 1988, sailing was a gender neutral 'open' sport.
