Azem, a woman with brown, freckled skin, black curly hair in a braid, and silver eyes, talks to another Ancient in Elpis. Kirika, an Au Ra Raen WoL with Face 2 and opal scales, looks up at her with a pensive expression.
Azem steps into a stream, holding up her robe with one hand and offering Kirika her other hand. She is laughing as Kirika looks down worriedly at the water, taking the proffered hand and clutching at her chest as she looks down at the water.

The moment breaks as Azem smiles wryly, looking over at Hythlodaeus beside her. Hythlodaeus raises his brows as he looks back at her as she says, "...Hyth, love, go with him. He's liable to bite someone in this mood."
Hythlodaeus smiles worriedly, reaching up to brush some of Azem's hair out of her face. "What about you?" he asks.
Another angle of Hythlodaeus brushing Azem's hair away from her face, this time focusing on her as she smiles up at him. She says, "I'm alright. Besides, should I feel faint again, Venat is a very capable healer."
Hythlodaeus shrugs. He trusts the Azems, past and present, and is more than happy to acquiesce. "Fair enough," he says. "So long as you're certain..."

Azem pulls away from both of her boys. Hythlodaeus stays near, one hand on her back and a worried expression on his face. She has a determined look on her face as she touches a hand to her heart and says, "I... I can't. I need to see this through."
Emet-Selch is tired of this. He looks away, done with this conversation. If she is determined, arguing is pointless. "Fine," he says. "Stay out of my way, then. And be careful."
His piece said, Emet-Selch strides back out of the building into the midday sun.
The four left behind watch him go. From left to right, Hythlodaeus looks on with a frown, Azem crosses her arms, Venat turns to look over her shoulder with a slightly sad look, and the WoL looks over her shoulder with an almost frightened expression.

Emet-Selch looks hurt, the wind taken out of his sails a little as he frowns at Azem. He says, "...of course not. I could never..." The thought that his actions may have convinced his friend that he hates her makes him upset.
Emet-Selch approaches Hythlodaeus and Azem, still standing together in the corner. Hythlodaeus watches his friend approach with a worried expression, still holding his girlfriend. Azem looks up at Emet-Selch with a sad expression as he reaches for her.

Emet-Selch looks up at Azem as he says, "Come. Let's take a walk. You can join me in my assessment." He wants to get her out of here, away from whatever this is. He wants things to be normal again.

Hythlodaeus looks worried as he helps Azem to her feet. Azem leans on him with one hand as she looks down at the ground and says, "--I watched you die, Hades." The use of his true name cements how serious she is being.
Emet-Selch is not having it, shrugging and looking off to the side as he says, "A trick! A dirty trick, Azem, nothing more. And, if not that, then--"
Hythlodaeus is now holding Azem, looking down at her worriedly as she holds one hand to her head and yells, "-- Do not tell me that you still think this all to be a practical joke. You cannot hate me so to believe that I would go to such lengths. You cannot."

Emet-Selch in Elpis. He has his arms crossed and is looking off to the left as he says, "I am still unconvinced this is not somehow your doing. 'Myself from the future' sounds exactly like the sort of nonsense you would try to trick me into believe."
Azem leans in close from beside him, grinning as she says, "Oh, come now, Emet-Selch... Am I not one of your dearest friends? How can you think so little of me?" He is refusing to look at her and trying very hard to pretend like his cheeks are NOT red right now.
I don't want to gpose every little conversation they have in Elpis, but I know that Azem is thrilled about the idea that Kiri is "me from the future" and Emet-Selch is as pouty as ever.

A thread for the series of fake cutscene-style gposes I'm making for my Endwalker replay! These are made to accomodate my canon of Azem being present for the events in Elpis. \o/

Azem, grinning, gestures towards Kirika as she says, "A soul the same color as my own, you say?" Hythlodaeus looks at her with a raised eyebrow.
Two shots. The first shows Azem approaching Kirika, leaning down with her hands on her hips as she grins with excitement. Kirika leans away from her, eyes wide, frozen with apprehension. She clasps her hands together near her face. The second shot is just another angle to better show Kirika's frightened face.
Azem performs the think emote once more as she begins to circle behind Kirika, murmuring, "Hmm..." Kirika half turns her head to attempt to track where Azem goes, afraid to be touched by her past self.
Azem clasps her hands behind her back and leans over Kirika's shoulder, smiling as she says, "Fascinating!" Kirika still looks scared, leaning away from Azem.

Emet-Selch crosses his arms and glares with suspicion as he says, "Really? You expect me to believe you had no idea I would be here?"
Azem smiles and says, "As always, my dearest friend, I expect you to believe whatever it is you want to believe."
Emet-Selch points accusingly at Kirika, who flinches with what could only be described as fear. He is not looking at her, but at Azem off-screen, though Kirika is looking at him. He shouts, "You can no seriously expect me to believe that this thing is not yours! Not when it has a soul the exact shade, tone, and hue of your own!"
Hythlodaeus looks at Emet with disdain, frowning as he says, "Emet-Selch..." Azem is standing beside him performing the think emote and clearly looking away from Emet, likely towards where Kirika is standing.

Azem recovers quickly and says, "Nice to see you, too," as she smiles and points a finger amicably.
Azem shrugs, eyes closed and smiling, as she says, "Unfortunately, I've no idea what you're on about. I came here to help Venat a few days ago -- I had completely forgotten you were planning to visit as well."
