Speaking of #Encyclopedias (Or Encyclopaedias, for the purists), who watched #Friends? There was an episode where Joey gets visited by a door to door Encyclopedia salesman (Penn of Penn & Teller, I believe) and Joey can only afford one book, so he bought the letter V 😂😂😂

Encarta 1993, shown in a Windows 3.1 VM. The first edition was very primitive, and as shown, doesn't scale up in 1024x768.

Encarta 1994, shown in a Windows 98 SE VM. This edition brought Encarta to be more in-line with the design language of 3.1.

Encarta 95, shown in a Windows 98 SE VM. This is the first instance of a flat UI in the lineup.

Encarta 96, shown in a Windows 98 SE VM. Bit refined over 95's, and has the Yearbook Updates icon, which was one of it's newest features at this point.

Most of those can be accessed 24/7 from home if you have a library card!
