Reading the news this morning about lack of graduate jobs. Young people at all education levels get hit when jobs reduce. Before and at the start of Covid, young people had an appetite for entrepreneurship but there were barriers that impacted on taking action. Time for more support again? #ented

Good to see low salaries due to start-up activity mitigated to some extent - hope this is actioned. Need to read the proposals further as an experimental analysis of income from business ownership was deemed problematic at the beginning of LEO. Could still be excluding some high incomes. #ented

What did I do on my day off? Checked out the HEBCI student and graduate start-up data of course! Great to see @unibirmingham.bsky.social in the top 20. And to see that Huddersfield is still helping so many startups. Almost 10 years since I left now! Time flies. #ented
