I loved Eric Powell's Goon comics so I was pretty excited when I heard about Hillbilly. I finally hunted down the original 12 comics in the discount bins, so here we are. I was not disappointed. In many ways it's similar to the Goon, but Rondel (the main character), seems more sensitive than the Goon, more humble and more laid back. Each story has a couple plot twists and some hilarious characters and interactions you didn't expect. It's very episodic I feel like you could read them in any order, except there is an origin story in one of the first couple.
