🌍🌏 Common Blackbird, female (Turdus merula) The female Common or Eurasian Blackbird has an overall sooty-brown plumage, contrasting with the male's glossy black. Her breast is often mottled or streaked with darker brown. She has a brown bill and brown legs and feet. Widespread across Europe, North Africa, and Asia, they are often found in gardens, parks, woodlands, and hedgerows. Typically seen hopping on the ground while foraging for insects, worms, and berries. They are generally solitary but pair up during the breeding season.
