The group debuted in 1998 with Negro Necro Nekros, a record that buried hardcore hip-hop under layers of noise, ambient drift, and thunderous drum breaks. Over the next decade, albums like From Filthy Tongue of Gods and Griots (2002), Absence (2005), and Abandoned Language (2007) pushed the architecture of rap music into territory no one else was occupying, somewhere between Public Enemy, power electronics, and industrial wreckage.
