A 1/4 inch white knee tarantula in a dram vial. Keeping small slings is a matter of safety, comfort, and no stress for your sling. Humidity and temp can all be supported by the number of holes in the cap top, the substrate amount, and sphagnam moss. I also add a bit of bark to climb or tunnel under.

Creating a safe environment that feels secure creates a confident spiderling who in turn is a confident adult spider. We feed our spiderlings flightless fruit flies every other day. When they go into a molt, we stop feeding, and make sure the vial's humidity is correct to support the molt. We use our pipette water bottle letting a drop of water slide down the side into the substrate.

We have five white knee tarantulas happily eating and growing out in dram vials. This is number 5, the largest. We've named them in Portguguese : Um, Dois, Três, Quatro, and Cinco.
