I hate that I have to sneak around my mother to be fucking trans.

I was looking at those custom name bamboo earrings on Etsy, and in my cart now, I deadass have one with my actual name and another with my deadname to convincingly hide the former from her.

Genuinely fml.

When they come for me like a criminal Will there be any point in fighting? What if I try to escape and don't make it? Will I be formally executed like Nat Turner Or Sophie Scholl? Or will I not even get that luxury? Will I be hunted and killed like a pest By racist vigilantes Who fancy themselves heroes?

When they come for me Will it be because I'm Black Because they think I'm a woman? Because I'm trans? Because I'm gay? The possibilities are endless And as I feel the walls closing in on me I fear I'm not prepared It'll come when I least expect it Or maybe I'll see it coming a mile away But will it even matter? When they come for me What will I do?

Poem I wrote called "When They Come for Me". It deals with a lot of impending doom and dark topics, so content warning for that.
