An ellipsus made snippet, read as follow; “Can I trust you will be fine on your own here? Even should they come looking for you?” There was no response from the Sniper, only his grip tightening against both guns as if strangling them. “I said I'll be fine,” he quietly huffed, pocketing the flare gun and holding his rifle with both hands again, quickly aiming them at the guard towers. “I'll shoot them before they get close.” It won't be easy, he's only one man. But any more and it'll only make it easier for the enemy to pinpoint his location. He'll just have to keep moving. But Zoticus, still unconvinced, can only put his trust in the man. What little there is he has. Their brush with death might not have appeared to shake him, but it leaves quite an impression. Turning around, he began his steps back to the encampment. But before he was out of earshot, he whispered, “I'm confident, in a pinch, you'll know what to do with the rest of those flares… Tribunus.” All the Legatus heard before he left the hill behind was a quiet scoff.
