Guldstyr stares out the open window in her room at the Pendants, in disbelief at the returned light-poisoned sky outside. Ardbert stands stoic behind her, arms crossed, having just directed Guldstyr to brace herself and bear witness to the light's return.
Text screenshot: Guldy slurped her last lightwarden. It happened. She got a lil light-steeped. Her fuckboi aura has grown, I fear. LORE!! After Ardbert chats with her in the Pendants, and tells her to go for a walk, Guldstyr has an identity crisis. She dissociates, spectating herself. Her Azem, Helios—also the source of her (non-Hydaelyn) blessing—takes over. He seeks out all of the Cardinal Virtues. Guldstyr is present the whole way through, not recognizing Helios as anything other than her own muscle memory, her own drive to throw herself at new challenges, desperately clinging to her own definition and purpose as "hero." Her dissociation fades, bit by bit, as Helios guides them through each story, bringing the tales of the Warriors of Light out of the shadow and myth that had marred their legacy. She comes back to herself in the same place she fell away, in the Crystarium. There's a stillness that's grown in her. Her pulse marches, but doesn't race. Her touch still feels, but it's half-numb. She's still here, though. And still a hero.
Updated portrait for Guldstyr (Astrologian) where she looks incomprehensibly sultry and handsome. She's got bedroom eyes, she's got a cocksure smirk, she's got her hand tantalizingly flipping a glowing card—she was handsome before but, gods have mercy, the combination of all that light and Helios' influence increased it somehow.
Updated portrait for Guldstyr (Dancer) where she looks incomprehensibly cocky and handsome. She's got an assertive gaze, she's got a cocksure smirk, and she still rocks her classic Altered Woolen Shirt. She was handsome before but, gods have mercy, the combination of all that light and Helios' influence increased it somehow.
An uncharacteristically quiet (e)mergence of Helios.
