Phase 1 of #TheBeeing also involved an almost #FieldworkFail when we took a temperamental Nissan Versa who objected to reversing on a dirt road and got the undercarriage stuck. Thankfully we could push it off the rock, and it didn't end in disaster. @am_anatiala

So my point that #FieldWorkFail makes a great icebreaker for biologists was proved, but apparently sex/death of animal stories is not so universally appealing.
The rat had a massive kidney. Massive. Apparently not everyone finds this as interesting as I do.

So. I was afraid to be hot there and thus wore a sports top with almost no back. But I am on the T rex side and arms were too short to apply sunscreen all over. I now have wonderful angry red sunburns resembling wings on my back. #fieldworkfail

I've got a question mark on the animal attack because I've been threatened by baboons (which I why I kept a giraffe leg bone on my porch- I thought I could use it for self defense like a baseball bat) but never actually attacked.
