This necklace is laid on a wooden surface, painted white with obvious brush strokes. The short necklace consists of freshwater pearls descending from the lobster fastener at the back, down two thirds of the piece. The front-facing third comprises five teal Amazonite coins, each about one inch wide, alternating with two faceted fire-polish crystal beads. Either side of the center Amazonite there are two symmetrical pendants of a wire suspended thumbnail-sized, white freshwater pearl coin above a tiny faceted teal Swarovski crystal which is anchored at the bottom by the wire looping upward in a tiny curled hook to the perimeter of the pearl coin. Until I’d lived there, I’d always thought of Cheltenham, in the UK as a posh place. During my stay, this design came to me and seemed to fit my original impression.
