1917 xray image of an elbow joint. there are more than 200 teeny tiny black dots of varying sizes that can be seen embedded in the tissue surrounding the elbow bones.

this xray filled my screen while going thru 200pg WW1 file for my Icelandic ancestor. what a shock...so intimate, so raw & 108 yrs old! elbow xray from French military hospital for Canadian soldiers in 1917 #Hill70 those 200+ shrapnel particles (& sniper's bullet to head) plagued him for life #FkWar
